So, I'm considering skipping Comic Con this year. I am still haunted by the spectre of the crowds and not being able to get into half of the panels that I wanted to attend. But on the other hand, I saw some pretty awesome stuff there last year, and it was cool wearing my glow-in-the-dark Iron Man shirt (swag rules!) to the movies, and having 3 people ask me where I got it. By the way, how awesome was THAT movie? Hot damn! The movie so nice I saw it twice. And I'm still not sure whether Robert Downey Jr. was sexier in or out of the Iron Man suit. Maybe I'll have to go see it again as further research.
So, getting back to the Comic Con thing - any of you guys going? Naomi mentioned it in her blog but hasn't confirmed that she'll be there yet. If she's going, I'll try to make it.
Also, on an unrelated note, anybody do any play-by-post roleplaying? I'm on Plothook.net and was curious about whether anyone else is over there without my knowledge.

I have a feeling this will turn into a big update, so I'm going to make sure I put a li'l break in here early. Read on after the jump for my rambling thoughts on the Transformers movie, San Diego Comic-Con '07, and video games.

Sorry if you sent me messages and I didn't answer - I didn't know they were there. I'll get right on that!
In the meantime, I took an online Nerd Test and I'm proud to say that I am officially an Uber Cool Nerd Queen. We all knew it already, of course.

I'm not sure I agree with 9% awkward dorkiness, but who am I to argue with an online quiz's scientific accuracy?

First of all, a big thanks to the peeps who acknowledged me as a friend. I hope it doesn't come back to haunt you later when you run for office or something! I thought we'd take today to explore the forms my geekery is taking these days.

I'm a fan of the trilogy His Dark Materials, though I was a little disappointed in the cloudy ending. I am both excited and fearful to see how the movies will turn out. I'd heard a rumor that the daemons would be excised from the films to help them play better amongst the religious crowd (as if the rest of the books wouldn't cause problems), but apparently they are in full effect. You can even visit the movie website to get a daemon of your own. Since I got an awesome lion, I decided to post him here for all to see. It's what any modest, humble person would do.

After many years, I have finally started my own account on LiveJournal. Lately, I've heard too much about old friends from second-hand sources, only to learn that they are all here, exchanging comments on each others' posts. So, even though I may never update this thing again, I'm here with a profile. Yes, this is Ivy, better known as Whiz from Transformers 2005, looking for the people who were also a part of that community, once upon a time.
